As we emerge from the fog of Cinco de Mayo margaritas this morning, it dawns us: we didn’t post about our seventh anniversary yesterday!
May 5 marked seven years in business. During that time, I’ve been a one-woman show working from home. I’ve moved my business out of my home and to some great spaces in downtown Lakeland. The business has grown and I’ve hired employees. Interns have come and gone. It’s been a wild ride that has included working with clients from all over the country, as well as a few in Canada and England.
We’ve weathered bad economic times, and have been able to hang around long enough to see brighter days, too.
Being in business for yourself isn’t easy, but it’s the best job I’ve ever had. I feel blessed every day to have Barbara working full time with me. And even though Jordan moved to Tampa, we were so happy when she agreed to continue blogging for us occasionally. She’s a great writer, and her voice is a great fit for the blog.
I can feel the winds of change blowing, and big things are ahead for us. To all of the businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals who have turned to us for the past seven years to help get a story told, fill a website with great content, or tell the community about your event, thank you for choosing us. Our work is exciting because we get to work with such a variety of clients. We look forward to working with you for many more years to come.
